Yellow ~  Decimals, decimals, decimals. Let the fun begin! We've entered a new world. We have added and subtracted decimals. Now we are multiplying them and getting ready to begin dividing with them. Yellow group loves decimals!

Red ~ Red group is just now entering decimal world and beginning to experience all the fun and entertainment they bring to the math world! We are all super excited! We're going to start with addition and subtraction and then move on to multiplication and division. No complaining is allowed! Not even at home to your parents. :)

Blue ~ Finishing up Order of Operations; known in math class as PEMDAS. Which is short for Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division, Addition and Subtraction. And then headed to decimal land. Beginning with addition and subtraction, and finishing up with multiplication and division.

**Check student notebooks for decimal activities worked on in class to help them remember how to complete decimal operations**

Yellow Group ~ Working on Order of Operations. PEMDAS -- Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally. Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication and Division (left to right), Addition and Subtraction (left to right). Remind your child to refer to math poster "Leaping into 4-Step Order of Operations." Red Group ~ Finishing up division with two-digit divisors with and without remainders. We're working on skill practice and using division in word problems. Students were given a math poster to glue into their notebooks with the steps involved. Remind them to refer back to this for help.

Blue Group ~ Working on division with two-digit divisors with and without remainders. Students were given a math poster to glue into their notebooks with the steps involved. Remind them to refer back to this for help. We are working on both skill practice and word problems involving division.
